Position Overview

Bolton Talent Solutions and Bolton College are seeking a Law Marker to support the assessment of BTEC Law assignments from Level 1 through Level 3. This temporary marking role is ideal for candidates with strong subject knowledge who can provide accurate, consistent, and constructive feedback in line with awarding‑body criteria.

The duration of this assignment will be 2–4 weeks, depending on the volume of student submissions received. The work will involve applying BTEC assessment standards, ensuring compliance, and contributing to a high‑quality learner experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Mark BTEC Law assignments across Levels 1–3
• Provide clear, constructive written feedback to support learner progress
• Ensure assessment decisions align with awarding‑body criteria
• Work within agreed marking deadlines
• Liaise with curriculum staff if required
• Maintain accurate and consistent assessment records

Key Requirements

• Subject knowledge in Law (degree level preferred)
• Experience marking or teaching BTEC Law is desirable
• Strong understanding of FE assessment standards
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (required for successful application)
